Our STEM Journey featured in the Korean Media
Tao Nan School was featured in the Korean media outlet, Seoul Shinmun, in an article on Singapore’s STEM education landscape. The feature highlighted our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in AI and robotics, showcasing how we engage and inspire learners through age-appropriate, hands-on experiences. It described our approach as making learning “as fun as play”, with students progressing from puzzle-based computer science concepts in the lower primary years to hands-on coding from Primary 4.
The article also spotlighted Primary 5 student Alyssa Khoo, who created a companion robot for elderly neighbours she met through volunteer work. Designed to tell stories, play music and provide medication reminders, the robot reflects how our students are encouraged to use technology with creativity, empathy and purpose.
This feature is a meaningful recognition of our school’s efforts to nurture problem-solving, creativity and empathy through engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
